Moxibustion

Some studies include handmade acupuncture combined with moxibustion in the design of the treatment. Moxibustion consists in applying heat on the acupuncture point. In our clinic, we perform moxibustion with dried mugwort by means of cigar-shaped stick of moxa or moxa box. Pure mugwort has a spicy and bitter taste, it emanates heat and it’s of Yang nature, its use allows: to recover the exhausted Yang, to regulate circulation among the twelve meridians, to improve the Qi (energy) flow as well as the blood circulation, to eliminate the cold and warm up the uterus.
